Defender Early Td5 Bulkhead for the Land Rover Defender 90, 110 and 130 early Td5 (1998-2002). Made in the UK by DDS Metals.
The bulkhead is the backbone of the Land Rover body: it carries the doors, windscreen, steering column and dashboard. Corrosion here is serious and expensive to ignore. DDS bulkheads and bulkhead panels are made to match the original shape so everything bolts back in place.
Details: Manufactured as OE: fully press tooled, using all the correct materials.
Fits: Land Rover Defender 90, 110 and 130 early Td5 (1998-2002)
Available for right-hand drive (UK) and left-hand drive vehicles (choose above).
Finish: Galvanised – a superior, long-lasting finish. DDS clean holes and re-tap threads where necessary, but panels can distort slightly in the hot dip process and galvanising lumps and bumps need smoothing before painting. E-coat primed (electro-plated paint) – will not clog threads or holes, leaves no drips or lumps, and can be fitted with very little preparation. With either finish we recommend a cavity wax such as Waxoyl so every area is fully protected.
Vent: Standard has the original footwell vent openings. Closed vent (Puma style) deletes the vent flaps, as on the later Puma Defender, for a cleaner bulkhead with no vent leaks.
