The REDWorks Scout50 is a compact, pre-wired dual battery system designed for weekend adventurers who need reliable power without complicated setup. It keeps essentials running, from fridges and lights to compressors and other 12V accessories.
Built around the REDARC BCDC Alpha50 R 12V 50A DC Battery Manager and Smart Battery Monitor, Scout50 delivers intelligent charging, advanced battery management, real-time monitoring and easy plug-and-play power in one compact panel.

Intelligent Charge on the Go
Charge while driving or whenever the sun is available. The BCDC Alpha50 R supports charging from both DC and solar sources, while the built-in MPPT solar regulator helps maximize solar performance.
REDARC’s Green Power Priority® technology can charge from both sources simultaneously, prioritizing solar to help minimize load on the vehicle alternator.
Unlike standard DC chargers, the BCDC Alpha50 R adjusts its charge mode in real time to meet the battery’s needs, helping improve charging efficiency and extend battery lifespan.
Configurable input current limits give you greater control over your system and help protect your vehicle’s electrical setup. Scout50 is also suited to hybrid and EV applications.
Start Battery Support
Scout50 can use excess solar power to automatically top up the start battery once the auxiliary battery is full.
The BCDC Alpha50 R also features Start Battery Recovery, allowing a flat start battery to be recovered in just 15 minutes at the touch of a button.
Ready-to-Go Power
Connect your essentials quickly using easy-access Anderson™ plugs. The system supports portable or fixed solar input and can charge up to 50A from the alternator while driving.
The 50A Anderson™ output is ideal for high-power 12V accessories such as fridges, large compressors and electric jacks.
Advanced Monitoring
Track your system performance in real time from your mobile device, including battery state of charge, remaining run time and input/output current.
The LED interface on the BCDC charger also provides clear charge status and fault indication.
Compact Installation
Designed for tight spaces, the Scout50 can be installed behind drawers, under seats or in other compact areas where a full dual battery system may not fit.
With a panel size similar to an A4 sheet of paper, Scout50 delivers up to 50A of charging from both DC and solar sources without taking up valuable storage space.
