Replacement dual-mass flywheel for the Land Rover Discovery 3 and Discovery 4 with the 2.7-litre TDV6 diesel engine.
The dual-mass flywheel (DMF) on the TDV6 is a wear item with a finite service life. Symptoms of a worn DMF include a characteristic rattling or knocking sound from the bell housing area at idle, vibration through the drivetrain, and harsh take-up on the clutch. Once the internal damping springs fail, the DMF should be replaced promptly to prevent secondary damage to the gearbox and drivetrain.
