A pair of rear brake calipers for Defender 90 (and 110/130 sharing the same axle), upgraded with stainless steel pistons. Available in Genuine AP Racing units or LOF Brakes branded calipers — both fitted with stainless pistons as standard.
Stainless steel pistons are a significant reliability upgrade over the standard cast iron OEM pistons, which are notorious for seizing and corroding in Land Rover applications, especially on vehicles used off-road or in wet conditions. Stainless pistons resist corrosion and are far easier to push back at service time.
OEM references: SMC500140G / SMC500150G. Supplied as a full axle pair. Correct for all Defender 90 rear axles. If you're rebuilding your braking system, pair these with LOF POWERspec or ROADspec brake kits for a complete overhaul.
